Using the loader on the tractor to scoop mulch and drop it into 3 wheelbarrows. Walking the wheelbarrows down the rows and carefully spread the mulch between the bushes.
This is not what we were expecting on opening day… hail is not nice to blueberries! Depending on the hail damage, we may need to close for a few days.

Picture from this weekend of the buds on the blueberry bushes! Thankfully they are nice and tight so the bushes were not effected by this CRAZY Michigan weather.
We have SO MANY blueberries and only 2 weeks left in our season!! Picking is great but you should never wait until the last few weeks to pick, if you do it sooner.
It's incredible out here! The bushes are full of fall colors. The cool nights allow for this beautiful transformation to take place. This makes the field a sight to see.October 09, 2022
Last week, when it was really cold, we unfortunately lost at least 1/4 of our blueberry crop. In the pictures you can see the damaged berries that look shriveled and brown.
What a great year for our raspberries, we have had a issues in the early part of the season with the frost damage but fortunately the raspberries came on strong.
What a beautiful sunrise this morning in the field! Snow covered blueberry bushes with a picture perfect sunrise for a backdrop. Nothing like a northern Michigan morning.
WOW today the parking lot was officially full. We had to put out a friendly reminder "please bring your own buckets" because ours are all being used (over 100 buckets)!!!
The fan favorite... NELSONS!!! They are producing a lot of blueberries and they are delicious. We anticipate our season being over within two weeks, what a great year!

We’re at the Cadillac Farmer’s Market today and we have raspberries!!! We are having a great year.
Our first day of U-Pick will be this Saturday, July 27th, from 9am-7pm! Berries are looking real good.
Look at all the little green berries and raspberries!!! We are going to a HUGE crop this year!
Would you look at that! The blossoms are coming out and we are exciting to get another blueberry season underway! Just a few more weeks and we will be seeing the little green berries!
We picked up the blueberry plants today! We already called and messaged those that have pre-ordered plants but there are plenty of plants to go around!

Getting bigger every week, these blueberries will be great this year.
The bees are a very important part of the fields success, without them no berries!
To help the plants during the summer we put mulch around the base of the plants.
Come visit us at the local Cadillac Farmers Market during the picking season.
In 1 1/2 hours we were able to pick 10 full buckets for the Cadillac Farmers Market.
We are mulching the entire field this summer!!! It's hard work but it looks and smells incredible afterwards; plus blueberries love mulch!
